Robert E. Massengill - President

Robert Massengill is President of SES Advisors, Inc. and has been working with owners of privately held companies for more than twenty years. 

Bob's began his finance career as a mergers and acquisitions advisor New York City where he counseled owners and managers of private and public companies on a variety of projects. This experience provided a broad foundation for his transition inot the ESOP advisory specialty. Since 1995, Bob has been involved in forming and financing new ESOPs, analyzing and completing second-stage ESOP transactions, terminating ESOPs and spinning off divisions using ESOPs.

Bob is an active member of The ESOP Association (TEA), where he is a member of the Valuation Advisory Committee, and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).  He has authored several articles for the Journal of Employee Ownership Law and Finance including articles on the use of non-leveraged ESOPs and convertible preferred stock in ESOP transactions, as well as for The ESOP Report and various other industry publications. He is a frequent speaker on ESOP matters for TEA, NCEO, numerous trade associations, CPA firms and groups, banks, insurance companies and brokerages.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University (Ohio) and a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
