Robert E. Massengill - President

Robert Massengill has been working with owners of privately held companies for more than twenty years.  Bob's experience in mergers and acquisitions as an investment banker in New York provided a solid foundation for his transition into the ESOP consulting business.  He began working as an ESOP consultant in 1995 and joined SES Advisors in 2003.  Bob has been instrumental in the firm's growth and was recently named President.

Bob is a frequent speaker on ESOP matters and is an active member of the leading trade associations, including The ESOP Association, where he is a member of the Valuation Advisory Committee, and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).  He has authored several articles for the Journal of Employee Ownership Law and Finance including articles on non-leveraged ESOPs and using convertible perferred stock in ESOP transactions. He has also been an invited guest presenter for The ESOP Association, NCEO and numerous accounting associations, CPA firms, banks, insurance companies and brokerages.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University (Ohio) and a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
